Ameera David Biography

Ameera David is an American anchor and reporter working for WXYZ-TV. She has been working for the station since joining in 2017. 

Ameera David Education

After completing elementary education, Ameera earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Spanish, and Anthropology from the University of Michigan in 2008.

She earned her Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University in 2011.

Ameera David Career

David serves as the weekend evening anchor and reporter at WXYZ-TV and leads the flagship coverage of the station’s signature feature initiative, Two Americas.

She joined the station serving as a specialty reporter on consumer-based issues through series like Taking Action For You, The Rebound Detroit, and Don’t Waste Your Money.

David started her journalism career at NBC News in Washington D.C bureau where she served as a production assist
